Yesterday, while our boys were skiing, me and my friend went hiking in Les Crosets – Val-d’Illiez (a municipality in the district of Monthey in the canton of Valais).

We chose a nice path through the heights of the resort of Les Crosets and the hamlet of Crété Borney.

The start is located in front of the Chapel at the entrance to Les Crosets.
Follow the pink snowshoe signs n° 5.

Go up the slope along the ski slope to the road, then left through the chalets for about 300 meters. Then turn right and go up via a pretty path along the slopes. Then, continue slightly to the left towards the restaurant “Le Relais Panoramique”.

At the restaurant, you can either:
-shorten your hike and descend below the restaurant on a groomed path to reach the Crété-Borney road and the station
-continue straight after the restaurant and go up slightly crossing the forest in the direction of Champoussin on a groomed path to the “Pas de Croisette”. This was our choice.

At the Pas de Croisette:
Your route n° 5 branches off to the right on the groomed path and descends to the road to reach Les Crosets.
