Last Sunday we had a lovely brunch with friends @miroirargentine restaurant in Solalex.
And in order to burn those extra calories we went for a short but rather physical bike ride up to the Giacomini refuge located 500m above Solalex.
The refuge is situated on the valley of Anzeindaz between Gryon and Derborence (another gorgeous destination – see specific post).
Settled at the foot of the Diablerets and Muveran massifs, the refuge is at the center of the largest mountain pasture in French-speaking Switzerland.
There are cows pasturing literally everywhere around you 🐮🐄🐮🐄🐮🐄
It’s also the starting point of several hikes allowing the discovery of its fauna, flora and geology.
The biking path is a mix of gravel and rocks making it a bit technique in certain places. The views are quite impressive from up there.
