May is the month when the wild Narcissus blossom (some know them better as daffodil), and in Les Avants, just above Montreux, you can appreciate this beautiful gift of the nature. The hills become a splendid white carpet fully covered with flowers. Some would say that meadows become as white as snow; and it’s true!.
This phenomenon is more and more rare, so if you decide to visit; PLEASE DON’T pick up any flower and NEVER step on the fields. This flower is the emblem of the region, and as such, it is protected.
You can follow the NARCISSI Walk 133; it offers a learning experience too thanks to the information panels. It is a 6km walk and you’ll take approximately 2H. You will be captivated by the gorgeous views of the Lake Geneva and the Alps.
