Mountain carts in Zermatt, a thrilling new adventure followed by a nice hike in the mountain – VS

For our first day of adventures in Zermatt we booked a super cool and thrilling descent in mountain carts from Blauherd to Sunegga station. A drop of almost 300m of altitude with countless laughs and a lot of fun. We did the run twice and the kids were begging for more; it has become one of the favorites adventures to do in Zermatt.
These three-wheel carts are specially conceived to ride over rough ground. It’s low centre of gravity ensures additional stability and safety. Children as of 9 years old are allowed as they have different sizes of mountain carts.
You can hire them directly at Blauherd kiosk. Explanations and equipment are provided by the staff.
This is the perfect group activity for action addicts. And as a big plus, you can admire fantastic views of the Matterhorn.
After some action, we followed with a walk along the beautiful mountain hiking paths, a short stop at lake Leisee and a late lunch Chez Vrony. Excellent cuisine, décor and service.

Note 🙌🏻: a special THANKS to the owners of Chez Vrony who kindly helped us to get a doctor’s opinion (coincidentally he was eating at the restaurant) and transportation back to the cable-car station. My son was not okay and they were so caring and helpful. He is doing fine btw.
