Today we discovered a true jewel of the Yverdon-les-Bains region. Romainmôtier is a must-see village. It is classified as one of the most beautiful villages in Switzerland. We were truly open-mouthed by its monuments, the picturesque streets and the harmony of the natural environment mixed so well together with the ochre-yellow roofs and medieval buildings.
The thousand-year-old abbey church sets the rhythm of the entire village and it’s one of the oldest Romanesque-style buildings in CH.
We unfortunately didn’t stay to eat at the Café de Prieur, but the setting was so cozy and inviting, that we’ll certainly come back. Totally loved this place!!!
