The Creux du Van is a natural rocky cirque approximately 1,400 metres wide and 150 metres deep.
It is located in the Val de Travers district, in the canton of Neuchâtel.
The gigantic rock arena was formed in the course of millions of years by water and ice erosion.
Its steep rock walls with their horseshoe shape offer a grandiose panorama.
