The “Vallorbe Natural Caves” are the biggest in Switzerland and also considered as some of the most beautiful in Europe. It is an impressive geological formation created by the river Orbe roaring noisily through the caves. The Cathedral is an enormous vault dome of 30m high and a natural theatre for sound and light show. At the end of the visit you can admire the collection of 250 minerals from all over the world. At all times, the caves remain at a comfortable temperature. In their web page, it is mentioned that the caves are open every month except for December, January, February, when they can be opened by special request. I recommend to call prior to your visit.
