This was an easy walk through the peaceful village of Raron, followed by a flat short hiking trail till St. German town. It’ll take around 40m between towns if you walk slowly and admire the views of the Valais. Raron was once the home of a powerful noble family. The 15th century church still sits majestically on top of the rock above the village. Raron is actually part of the Swiss Alps Jungfrau-Aletsch UNESCO World Heritage Site. During autumn the colorful vineyards increase the charm of the region.
