This winter hike has been a classic for us!. Due to its proximity to Lausanne, Villars is a very popular family ski resort and it can get very crowded on a sunny weekend. So we usually don’t go there to ski, but we love the long walk starting at the golf club (need to take the train up) all the way down to town. The trail offers amazing views and in some places we can use the bobsleigh to add some fun. Few kms before reaching town, you can stop at La Verneyre, a cozy wooden restaurant with an open terrace where you can treat yourself with a really good fondue.
