We e-biked 30km around Murten / Morat lake. It’s a long but easy itinerary as it’s flat most of the trail and practically car-free. The tour begins in the picturesque medieval town of Murten built between the 13th and 17th centuries. The ramparts encircling the town are one of the best-preserved fortifications in Switzerland. At one point, the route runs gently uphill through vineyards offering very nice views. Lake Murten is a water sports paradise. Due to its relatively shallow depth, it warms up fairly quickly reaching pleasant bathing temperatures earlier than elsewhere.
