With the arrival of the autumn, we love going into the forest to hunt for mushrooms and afterwards, cook a delicious pasta or risotto. One of our favorite spots for this is in Gryon, very close to Villars. This is a lovely walk (can be done in a loop) also during summer when the fields are covered with colorful wild flowers. And up in the hill, there is one of our favorite restaurants in the region; L’Etable. This restaurant has very cozy interiors (from which you can see their farm animals), and a big beautiful terrace offering great views. Excellent food!!!!! !!! Always make your harvest checked by a specialist (some pharmacies offer the service) and NEVER touch poisonous mushrooms, despite their very attractive colors!!! Here below there are some examples of the dangerous ones.
